We've compiled a few helpful notes to help you utilize all the features of gunzoo.com.

1. GunVault

This is revolutionary functionality in the online world of firearms.  In your GunVault you can log the firearms that you own, but that's just the start.  Once you add a gun by clicking "I own it" on this site, you can upload your own image and then tag that image with the modifications you've made.  We want you to be able to show off how unique your firearms are to other users.  

Want to share your vault outside of GunZoo?  Great!  This is exactly what we hope you'll do.  When you've updated your gun profile, just copy your unique link (in the address bar of your browser) and share it on your forums by adding it to your signature. 

The GunVault is a place to upload your firearms collection, tag your additions and customizations, respond to feedback, questions, and comments on your guns by other users as well as follow like minded people and see what they're up to.  

2. Add guns to your GunVault

You can now add guns to your GunVault by either clicking "I own it" from any product page or by clicking "Add Gun" on the bottom left of your GunVault.  Adding guns to your GunVault is the first step to adding your own picture of your gun and tagging the modifications you've made to it.

3. Upload your own images of guns in your GunVault

You can now update your own picture of your gun to any gun added to your GunVault.  These images are the foundations for earmarking the modifications and modifications you've made to your firearm.

4. Tag Pictures

You can now tag guns in your GunVault.  Tagging guns allows you to highlight the modifications and customizations you've made to your gun.  THis is an industry first and we are proud to offer this to you with your free GunZoo membership!  Simply click Add Tags --> click the left mouse button and hold it down while you drag a box around the area of the picture in whcih you would like to tag --> add the information requested --> and when you're done click "Done Tagging" and you're all set!

5. Find Users

With the "Find Users" feature you can now search for your friends on GunZoo.  Hover your mouse over the "My Account" drop-down in the top navigation bar, and select "Find Users".  Then, just enter a few details about them and instantly find your friends and then add them to your network by clicking the "Follow" link.

6. Updated News Feed

The News Feed continues to be the best of the shooting and firearms world.  You'll find articles here on the site as well as on our Facebook and Twitter feeds.  If you'd like us to post your article, review or press release just email us at media@gunzoo.com.

7. Gun Compare

GunZoo's Gun Compare feature let's you put multiple firearms in a side-by-side feature comparison.  This is the best place on the web to conduct your research due to our depth of information, detailed firearm information (just see the options you can search by) and easy to use layout.  To get started, go to "Search & Compare Guns", start a search and add guns to your comparison cart. 

8. GunVault - Add ANY Gun!

Before this release users were only able to add a gun to their vault if it existed on our site.  In this release users now have the ability for users to add ANY gun to their vault.  This will be most useful to our users with unique, rare or custom guns.  

Got a custom AR you've been building for years?  Add it!  Got a rare pistol that's been passed down in your family?  Add it!  Got a modern shotgun that GunZoo doesn't have a profile for (yet)?  Add it!

To take advantage of this feature, go to your vault and click "Add Gun".  If you can't find the gun you're looking for using the search tool, click on the link at the bottom and add your information.  Once complete, your new gun will be immediately available in your GunVault.  

9. Invite Friends to Join GunZoo

We sincerely hope that you find our service informative and fun.  If you do and you would like to share it with your friends we've made it even easier to do so.  When you invite friends, they'll receive a single email from GunZoo letting them know that you'd like to them to join the site.  If they accept your invitation they'll be automatically added to your "Following" list as soon as they create a profile.

To use this feature, go to "My Account" and look for "Invite Friends" on the left side of the page.

10. News Articles, Add Your Voice!

We've enhanced the news feed to allow users to add comments to stories.  To access this feature, simply view an article and scroll to comments on the bottom of the page.  Users can now "like" stories as well.  You must be logged in to comment or like an article.  To find out what your friends like or have commented on, just go to their profile and view thier activity feed.  So log on and let your voice be heard!
