Randi Rogers Maintains Season-Winning Mentality with a Ladies Production Champion Title

SMYRNA, Ga. (Feb. 20, 2012) – Team GLOCK’s Randi Rogers continued her 2012 season high-note by accomplishing another top-placing finish at the Florida Open, held Feb. 17-19 at the Universal Shooting Academy, in Frostproof, FL.   

“The Florida Open range is known for its challenging terrain with a combination of grass and sand that can get lodged into dropped magazines,” stated Rogers. “One of the great things about the GLOCK is that I never have to worry about cleaning my magazines during the match. I can pick them up off the ground dust them off and they will work every time.”

Rogers won the Ladies Production Championship title, in addition to a tenth-place finish in the Production Division and Second Master. She competed with a G34 built by S&J Custom.

“The Florida Open is one of my favorite matches of the season,” Rogers explained. “It’s by far the most difficult match I shoot all year, because it offers several unique challenges including 20 yard steel shots, moving targets and lots of movement. I am very pleased with my finish and looking forward to the Steel Nationals.”

Randi Rogers will compete next in the US Steel Nationals March 28th-April 1st.  Tori Nonaka will compete at the IDPA FL State Championship March 10th-11th.
