With the LR-308's growing popularity with hunters and competitive shooters, DPMS opened the LR Series up into several other popular calibers to increase versatility. The LR-260 features a 24" 416 stainless steel bull barrel, similar to the LR-308. As a commonly asked for upgrade, the rifle was configured with the new A3 type receiver for ease of using match iron sights. The LR-260 has already become a popular new companion to the LR-308 on the bench-rest scene.
